Sharing my ziplining review for Adventureworks, a pioneer in treetop zipline parks, which has come to the East Coast – specifically Virginia where I live! Located on 60 acres of wooded forest in the coastal wetland & minutes from Virginia Beach. I took a group of friends with me to try out AdventureWorks new zipline park and it was AMAZING! 9 zip lines and 2 hours later – I am dying to return and go again as soon as possible.

What to expect

To be outdoors the entire experience so dress weather appropriate in athletic apparel with tennis shoes. We went in July and it was a really hot day, but thankfully most of the park is in the shade. It would be amazing to zipline in the fall in Virginia. Expect to have fun! Expect staff to be knowledgeable, go through intense training and practice, and there to help every step of the way.

Trying New Things

Trying new things and going to new places can be overwhelming. Here are a few tips for managing anxiety in those moments:

  • Deep Breaths
  • Focus on the present moment
  • Progressive Relaxation
  • Identifying your fear and saying it out loud.
  • Having a support network to encourage, validate, and support you.

Is it worth it?

100%. I highly recommend for families, friends, group or team building environments, and people who want to experience adventure and fun in an outdoor environment. Even if you aren’t a fan of heights and adventure, the staff are supportive and kind through the zip lining experience.

  1. Ohhhhhhhh how much I miss living somewhere near mountains and trees. This looks amaazing!

    1. I am a few hours from mountains and trees too! This location is minutes from the beach and a 2 ish hour drive from RVA

  2. Looks like an exciting experience. I’m no expert but I will try it for sure. I’m glad that the staff is there to train and help you get a hang of it. I enjoyed your pictures! Thanks for sharing your experience.

  3. Wow this sounds like fun! I didn’t even know this existed here – the only zip lines I knew about were at the zoo haha! I’ve never done serious zip lining like this, but the idea of it has always appealed to me (though my friends said the time they went zip lining they kept running through spider webs, which freaks me out haha)!

    1. Its totally worth a day trip to VA Beach to go! Yes the zoo does have them, I havent done those either.

  4. Ohhh this looks fun! I’ve been once before and really loved it even though I’m afraid of heights!

  5. I have been zip lining before in Jamaica and it was the best thing ever. I faced my height fears and did it. I don’t regret it ever. I would love to do it again.

    1. I told my friends I would love to go somewhere tropical. If it was that cool in VA itd be to die for there!
